Counselling for children and young people
We offer help and support specifically tailored to children and young people.
In the current climate children and young people are experiencing new challenges and pressures impacting upon their mental health and wellbeing. Our team of practitioners provide a safe understanding and supportive environment for children, young people and their families assisting with symptoms of depression, anxiety, social isolation, sleep disturbance, family stress, peer group issues and the like. Our practitioners take a strength-based approach when working with young people, focusing on building resilience and developing coping strategies including emotional regulation.
Our aim is to enhance health and wellbeing, affording children and young people the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Counselling for adults
At some stage in our adult life there will be times when our mental health is comprised. Sometimes difficult life situations, COVID 19 impacts, relationships, family functioning, parenting, grief and loss, identity, trauma, vicarious trauma, sexual, emotional and physical abuse, violence, workplace stress and financial pressure can cause significant impacts on our mental health and wellbeing. It is Important to know that counselling can help.
We take a relaxed, non-judgemental and humanistic approach at our practise, providing a safe and inclusive therapeutic space to work through the issues of concern and develop effective coping mechanisms to improve your overall health and wellbeing.
Couples counselling
Relationships are fluid, dynamic and ever changing. However, sometimes they can feel like that are static, stuck and people begin to question their long-term viability.
Through couples counselling you can find better ways to communicate in a relationship, identify stressors on the relationship, move through any unresolved issues or resentments that continue to impact negatively giving you and your relationship the attention it deserves and opportunity for a brighter future.
Family therapy
Crossroads see individuals in the context of their lives, for most that context includes families. There are arrange of different reasons families may wish to engage in family therapy, whether it be to address the impacts of significant or traumatic events, repair fractured relationships, improve family relationships and strengths that currently exist in your family. Whatever the reason, we are here to help.
