Fees & Rebates

Fees vary depending on length, type of consultation and practitioner.

The Australian Psychology Society currently recommends consultation fees with a registered psychologist of $300. However, fees charged at Crossroads Psychology are substantially lower than the recommended standard fee, making accessibility to counselling more affordable.

Clinical Psychologist 50 minute session $255.

Registered Psychologist 50 minute session $210.

Accredited Mental Health Social Worker 50 minute session $200.

We offer a concession rate for pension and health care card holders.

Please call us to discuss our fee schedule further.

Full payment must be made on the day of consultation with your practitioner.

Psychological reports, provision of opinions or attendance at Court are charged at the practitioners’ hourly rate. Please discuss with your practitioner for further information.

If you have obtained a mental health care plan (MHCP) as assessed by your GP, you will be entitled to receive up to 10 sessions per calendar year with a Medicare rebate of $93.35 per session with our registered psychologists. Medicare rebate of $137.05 per session with our Clinical Psychologists. Medicare rebate of $82.30 for our Mental Health Social Workers. Depending on which clinician you see the, out of pocket fee will range from $115-$118.

Private health insurance

Psychological services may be subsidised by your private health insurance fund. Please contact your insurer to determine what may be covered, as each individual policy may vary.

You do not need a referral from a medical practitioner to claim private health rebate. However as a general rule MHCP often pay more than private health so it is worth comparing your individual coverage.

You will be provided a receipt on the day of payment to access your rebate through your private health insurer fund.

If you are covered under DVA, NDIS or VOCAT, you may be eligible to have the majority, or all of your sessions covered. Please contact your plan partners or advocates to advise on your eligibility.

National Redress Scheme
